Marine Technician — All Levels | Wake & Water Lake Norman
Mooresville, NC · Full-time · $53,000–$142,000/year · Relocation assistance
The southeast's #1 towboat dealership is hiring Marine Technicians at every level — apprentice through lead. Paid factory certifications, a $1,500 tool allowance, and a pay plan where every certification you earn is a permanent raise.
Wake & Water Lake Norman is the region's #1 Centurion, Supreme and Revel Boats dealership. We also carry Montara and Monterey, and we service all makes and models — but towboats and wakeboats are what we do.
We are a SERVICE centered dealership. Our service team is the most important thing we offer our customers, and we pay like it.

We hire at three levels
Where you start depends on what you can do on your own, not on how long you've been in the trade.
Apprentice — $53,000 to $67,000You have mechanical background and you want to learn inboards from people who know them. We train you and pay for your certifications.
Journeyman — $74,000 to $99,000You work independently, diagnose accurately, and turn a repower without hand-holding. Inboard experience required.
Lead / Master — $101,000 to $142,000You run the shop floor, take the jobs nobody else can solve, and mentor the techs around you. We hold you to a higher standard.
Pay is base hourly plus a bonus on every hour you bill, plus a permanent raise for every certification you hold. No cap. We'll walk you through the numbers before you accept.

Lead techs also mentor other technicians, handle escalated diagnostics, and sign off on quality control.
